If you’re between 3 years old and 3rd year of Primary school, Lauaxeta provides the opportunity of a birthday party at the Ikastola with your classmates. Participation is totally voluntary and it’s just a possibility available to you, as we think a birthday celebration at the Ikastola itself could be a convenient, interesting option. On the day of the party, when classes end a monitor will look after the children at the Ikastola, and the families come to pick them up when the event is over. Ew’ve called this service “Ospatu” (celebrate).
When and how will the party be held?
What will the date be? The organisation will be as follows:
What day of the week will it be on? It will always be on a Friday, from 4.20 to 6.30 p.m.
Where will it be held? The parties will be held in the Ikastola’s Laia gunea space.
What will the schedule be?

We think healthy eating is very important, and that goes for birthday parties too. So different types of sandwiches, omelettes and pintxos will be included in the snacks available, along with the cheese puffs and similar. There will also be a cake for the birthday boys or girls to blow out the candles.
Allergies: if any of the children has any food allergies, you should note this on the registration form so that we can adapt the menu.
Minimum number: for the birthday party to be held, at least 8 people must be registered.
Guests: if a family would like to invite any children from outside the Ikastola or friends from another class to their child’s birthday party, they may do so. They must indicate the names of these children on the registration form. The cost of these guests is to be paid for by the family who invites them.
14 days before the date of the class birthday party, the Ikastola will send a form to register the children for the party. You have 4 days to register.
This includes the party, the fun activity and the snacks, and it will be added to your bill for the month after the party is held.
Throughout the year we celebrate different events to which we invite you to come: Ikastolako jaia, Astelehentxutxu, Zuhaitz eguna, … as well as some special events or shows that we organise thinking of your daughters and sons, as well as you.
The ikastolako jaia takes place in June and is a gathering of families to celebrate the end of the school year, accompanied by the summer weather and the approaching school holidays. You can enjoy dance workshops, face painting, arts and crafts, animal care, family and student football matches, exhibitions, models, musical performances, dance, rhythmic gymnastics, playback and popular food, among others.
This is an opportunity for the whole family to enjoy nature and animals in Lauaxeta. Rabbits, goats, school vegetable garden, planting trees, … all this on a sunny autumn day, in the middle of nature and in a family atmosphere. We always celebrate it in October.
Around April, we celebrate tree day in Lauaxeta and little by little we make progress in the course. Nature, family, dance exhibitions, exhibitions of work, GreenPower project. All of this with the family.
Throughout the course we also organise some shows with the children and families in mind. Last year, for example, almost 800 people came to listen and dance with Ene Kantak in Lauaxeta. Ene Kantak is a children’s music group in Basque that was founded in 2011. Their idea is to promote the use of the Basque language through music and to do so they compose fresh, catchy and danceable songs.
